Possibilities for long-life education of people in all country regions through the developing distance learning system and by decreasing the disunity of urban and rural residents are investigated. LieDM, the Lithuanian distance learning system, is presented. It provides the variety of education services and equal learning possibilities for all citizent despite their place of residence, origin, nationaliyy, social ststus, and individual abilities.
