На матеріалі дисертаційних досліджень 1950-1980-х років показано розвиток українського журналістикознавства цього періоду. Описано феномен "радянської" моделі науки на прикладі журналістики. Показано надмірну заангажованість журналі-стики радянських часів на тлі відносної стабільності й визначеності. Проілюстровано проблематику переходу української журналістики від тоталітарного до демократичного ладу.
The article based the materials of dissertation research of 1950-1980 traces the development of Ukrainian journalism science of this period. It gives a description of phenomenon of the Soviet science model by the example of journalism. Excessive engagement of journalism of the Soviet times against the background of relevant stability and certainty is shown and the problems of transition of the Ukrainian journalism from totalitarian to democratic regime are elucidated upon.
