Розглядається можливість формування надкоротких оптичних імпульсів унаслідок перехідного ефекту на межі самофокусуючого середовища. Показано, що амплітудна модуляція лазерного випромінювання, яка трансформується у фазову самомодуляцію, веде до утворенняцугу імпульсів пікосекундної тривалості.

The opportunity of formation of ultrashort optical pulses in consequence of transition effect on border of the self-focusing environment is considered. It is shown, that amplitude modulation of laser radiation transforms to self-phase modulation and conducts to occurrence of picoseconds pulse train.
