Poetics of "Kobzar" express a mythological matrix of Ukrainian people's perception of the world. Shevchenco exposed its maintenance by means the opposition "unity-conflict", which expressed that the nation had lost its True. The national True is the law of the existence of the Ukrainians, given them by God. Cognition of the national True is the only way for the people to the national identity.
