У статті розглядаються теоретичні підходи до правонаступництва держав щодо території та кордону а також досвід України у вирішенні питань з приводу приналежності державної території делімітації та демаркації державних кордонів. Автором проаналізований особливий режим договорів про кордон та територіальні режими, застосування принципу непорушності державного кордону та принципу
uti possidetis при правонаступництві держав. Окремо розглянутий процес міжнародно-договірного врегулювання державного кордонуУкраїни з сусідніми державами.
This article purports to outline the theoretical approaches to state succession in respect of territory and frontier. To that end it studies Ukraine"s settlement of issues concerning title to the state territory, delimitation and demarcation of the state frontier. The author dwells upon the special regime of the frontier and territory treaties as well as the application of the principles of inviolability of frontiers and uti possidetis pending state succession. She examines Ukraine"s negotiated settlement of frontier issues with the neighboring states.
