Анотація:
The article analyzes the points of view of Western political scientists on the prospects for democratization of Arab states after the collapse of the bipolar system of international relations. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the "Middle East exeptionalism" - the so-called failure of the Arab- Muslim world to absorb democratic ideas.
