У статті здійснюється спроба структурного аналізу усного героїчного епосу, виокремлення законів кодування інформації, успадкованих від міфу. Автор дослідження доходить висновку, що зразком для опису тіла героя-богатиря є міфологічна модель світу, а кодова опозиція «хаос – космос» інтерпретується як опозиції «сила – розум», «голова – тіло».
In this article the author structurally analyses a snapshot of Ukrainian heroic epos and singles out those principles of coding, which could possibly be inherited from a myth. In conclusion the researcher suggests that the description of the body of a warrior hero could be compared to the mythological model of the world, and that the binary code “cosmos - chaos” could be interpreted as such oppositions as “physicalpower - intelligence”, “head - body”.
