У статті розглянуто ідейно-тематичну палітру українських пісень-хронік. Вказано на традиційні та інноваційні елементи сюжетики, зумовлені культурно-історичними потребами суспільства. Простежено зв’язок пісень-хронік з фольклорною традицією та з’ясовано зв’язки між давнім матеріалом та новоутвореним.
The article considers the ideological and thematic palette of Ukrainian songs-chronicles. It’s specified on traditional and innovative elements of plot structure, caused by cultural and historical needs ofsociety. The connection of songs-chronicles with folk tradition is observed and the relationships between old material and neoplasm are clarified.
