У статті на матеріалі сучасних українських мас-медійних ресурсів проаналізована медична лексика. У функціональному аспекті лексеми медицини в текстах ЗМІ виявляються як певні маркери актуальних соціальних подій, завдяки яким медійна комунікація стає більш експресивною та яскравіше віддзеркалює сучасні процеси в суспільстві.

In the article on material of the modern Ukrainian massmedia resources a medical vocabulary is analysed. In the functional aspect the lexemes of medicine in the texts of massmedia appear as certain markers of actual social events, due to that media communication becomes more expressive and brighter reflects modern processes in society. In media text medical lexemes-labels can metaphorize, by means of what an author can describe animportant event with additional expression and stylistic estimation. The concepts of "politician", "opposition", "president", "prime minister" and others in the media discource are connected with medical lexemes-labels. It is possible to make to the conclusion, that in most contexts a medical vocabulary is used with negative or neutral semantics. The frequency usage of medical vocabulary with negative / positive semantics is explained, to our opinion, by the real situation in social and political life of Ukraine and world. Media communication, thus, is an optimal context for functioning of medical vocabulary, that envisages the achievement of effect of unforeseeableness, direct influence on a recipient and design of emotionally-expressive estimation of presented information.

В статье на материале современных украинских массмедийных ресурсов проанализирована медицинская лексика. В функциональном аспекте лексемы медицины в текстах СМИ оказываются как определенные маркеры актуальных социальных событий, благодаря которым медийная коммуникация становится более экспрессивной и ярче отражает современные процессы в обществе.
