Статтю присвячено аналізу особливостей вербалізації англійською мовою концепту MARRIAGE в полілінгвокультурному контексті Східної Африки. Дослідження засвідчило, що в сучасній Східній Африці система концепту MARRIAGE інтегрує в собі як ментальні структури когнітивного досвіду глобальної лінгвокультури, так і ментальні структури етнолінгвокультурного когнітивного досвіду.
The paper focuses on the analysis of the peculiarities of the verbalization in English of the concept of MARRIAGE in the polilinguacultural context of East Africa. The research shows that the conceptual system of the concept of MARRIAGE integrates the mental structures of the cognitive experience of the global linguaculture as well as the mental structures of the ethnocultural cognitive experience. The nuclear positions in the structure of the concept are determined by the mental structures of the ethnocultural cognitive experience, which is based on the cultural traditions of the peoples of East Africa and the peculiarities of the social institute of family. The influence of the local ethnolinguaculture on the structure of the concept includes the change in the meaning of the lexical units, the change of the position of the lexical units in the structure of the concept, on the actualization of the lexical units, and the linguacultural peculiarities of the combination of lexical units. At the same time the influence of the global linguaculture can be seen in the gestalt integration of the universal frame of wedding.
Статья посвящена анализу особенностей англоязычной вербализации концепта MARRIAGE в полилингвокультурном контексте Восточной Африки. Исследование показало, что в современной Восточной Африке система концепта MARRIAGE интегрирует в себе как ментальные структуры когнитивного опыта глобальной лингвокультуры, так и ментальные структуры этнолингвокультурного когнитивного опыта.
