The materials of the article disclosed the nature of the sources of EMF in the friction units,illustrated the lines of thermal currents with different materials of friction pairs. A generalizedequivalent circuit diagram of tribological system is offered. The effect of electrification to thephenomenon of migration metal friction units is disclosed. We've discussed the followingquestions: lines of thermal currents and the isotherms occurring in the interaction of the contactsof the friction pairsfrom different materials; the main sources of EMF in the frictionunits; generalized equivalent circuit diagram of tribological system; the effect of electrificationon the phenomenon of mass transfer in metal friction units
