The article investigates insurance experience as a category of labor law and social security law. Defined as the period specified concept, process, legal fact and inter-Law Institute, and the main features of insurance, the insurance value is set and seniority. English abstract S. The political course of Ukraine's integration into the global community necessitates increasing the level of protection of citizens' rights in the employment and social fields and to bring labour and social policy legislation in line with international legal standards. Reform of legislation on social security and labour legislation will promote the implementation of social and labour rights. Issues of insurance are an important issue of labour law and social security law. The purpose of this study is the definition of "insurance period", its legal nature and value of employment, separation of basic features, set the value of insurance for a pension, receiving social benefits, benefits and more. The goal led to the solution of the following main objectives: to investigate insurance experience as a legal category; consider the value of such categories as "insurance period" and "seniority"; detect collisions in the legal regulation of insurance; develop proposals to improve legislation of Ukraine on Social Security and Labour. The object of study is the social relations that arise between insurers,insurers, policyholders and other stakeholders' relations in social security and labour relations for the implementation of social insurance. The subject of research is theoretical and practical problems of legal regulation of insurance and legal rules governing pension, labour relations, legal relations in the sphere of social security, including the issue of insurance, and creating interdisciplinary institute law.
