The author defines the particular embodiment of the theoretical structures of civil society in public and political life of the country. Attempt to provide theoretical basis directions of development of civil society in Ukraine. Civil society is a system that is independent from the power of public institutions operated on democratic principles, which comes with the power in the economic, social, cultural, spiritual, legal and political relations. It has a complex internal structure, which is characterized by its parts (institutions) and their operating principles, functions and rules. The main tool for building civil society today has become a civil solidarity. It manifests itself in readiness to unite in order to achieve the common well, the ability to consent, is a measure of the collective consciousness and manifested in the collective aspirations of collective responsibility and collective action. In modern terms, these ideals must be understood as equality of all citizens in rights and opportunities, not equality in all things.
