The article is devoted to the legal characteristic of the contract of carriage of passengers by road. This paper is a part of the complex research of the legal nature of the mentioned contractEnglish abstractI. Wherein civil relations, arising about the carriage of passengers by road is not exception. Therefore deserves to study legal description of these contractual forms of relations. Taking as a basis the theoretical approaches which exists in civil law regarding the classification of civil contracts are offered by his own characterization the contract of carriage passengers by road. Considering the diversity of practice contracts of carriage passengers by road special understanding of it's economic maintenance. The author paid attention to the fact that such an agreement can be only compensatory basis. Another manifestations provides a contract of carriage of passengers by road on a complimentary basis to have a direct relations. This explains by the fact that in some cases, the participants of this agreement are those who are not parties of the contract of carriage passengers by road. Another cases – relations associated with the carriage of passengers by road settled on the basis of public law, which contradicts the legal nature of the contract. Based on the current study, the author thinks thatthe contract of the carriage of passengers by road can be both alternative and no alternative, unilateral or multilateral, it should be considered certain normative, consensual, onerous contract accession.
