A few kinds of turbulent flows that develop behind the different obstacles installed into the region of spreading of shear flow have been investigated numerically. The applicability of different approaches (algebraic and differential) of turbulence description was examined for this sort of shear flows. The results of numerical predictions are compared with experimental data and other numerical solutions and are found to be satisfactory.
