A concept of aircraft life cycle development as an approach to the aircraft competitiveness provision is presented. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis it is stated that the value and temporal structure of aircraft life cycle cost may be accepted as the criteria of modern aircraft competitiveness assessment. The CALS technology is shown to be an important element in the organization of the aircraft life cycle development process.
