The semi-empirical approaches for modeling of turbulent shear flows and several methods of their control are presented. The development technique is based on the boundary layer type system of governing equations together with a few variants of turbulence models. The possibilities of elaborated methods are illustrated on the base of comparison of predicted theoretical results with the corresponding experimental data.
