Робота присвячена художньому осмисленню нової парадигми героїки в українському суспільстві через призму соціальної моделі інвалідності. В роботі досліджується трансформація образу ветерана від об'єкта співчуття до суб'єкта дії та символу стійкості. Теоретична частина включає аналіз історичних та сучасних підходів до зображення травмованого тіла в мистецтві, а також розкриває символічний потенціал архітектурних форм як метафор соціального виключення.
Станкова картина «Нескорений» візуалізує конфлікт між особистістю, яка прагне повноцінного життя, та бар'єрним середовищем. Композиція будується на драматичному протиставленні горизонталі (статична фігура у візку) та вертикалі (масивні сходи), що створює напругу та підкреслює складність виклику. Образ героя, вирішений у техніці експресивного реалізму з використанням вільного мазка на розчиннику, транслює ідею внутрішньої сили та гідності. Відмова від зайвої деталізації та натуралізму на користь узагальнення та світлотіньової драматургії дозволяє зосередити увагу на психологічному стані персонажа — зосередженості та готовності до подолання перешкод. Робота стверджує, що справжня незламність вимірюється не фізичними можливостями, а силою духу перед лицем випробувань.
The thesis is dedicated to the artistic interpretation of the new paradigm of heroism in Ukrainian society through the lens of the social model of disability. The work explores the transformation of the veteran's image from an object of pity to a subject of action and a symbol of resilience. The theoretical part includes an analysis of historical and contemporary approaches to depicting the injured body in art, and also reveals the symbolic potential of architectural forms as metaphors for social exclusion.
The easel painting «Unbroken» visualizes the conflict between an individual striving for a full life and a barrier-filled environment. The composition is built on a dramatic contrast between the horizontal (the static figure in a wheelchair) and the vertical (the massive stairs), which creates tension and emphasizes the complexity of the challenge. The image of the hero, executed in the technique of expressive realism using free brushstrokes with solvent, conveys the idea of inner strength and dignity. The refusal of excessive detail and naturalism in favor of generalization and chiaroscuro drama allows focusing on the psychological state of the character — concentration and readiness to overcome obstacles. The work asserts that true unbrokenness is measured not by physical capabilities, but by the strength of spirit in the face of trials.
