Abstract:
Любов і повага до своєї культури спонукає працювати з українською класикою, досліджувати своє коріння, розвивати нову естетику, відкривати сенси які ховаються в простих діалогах, згадувати, що я бачила і відчувала в дитинстві.
Моєю відправною точкою у формуванні сценічного простору було відчуття засухи, сухості, спраги. Як це відчувається тепер у селах, в час швидкої урбанізації та соціокультурних перетворень. Нехватка життєво необхідних ресурсів впливає на існування героїв та їх поведінку, існування, вчинки. Думки набули форми в легких та крихких природніх фактурах, таких як сухий бур’ян, кущі, перекотиполе, які є пошестю, навалою, але і в той же час в цьому світі саме вони дарують життя, конденсуючи на своїх тонких гілках вологу, як голки кактусів у пустелі. Простір живий, дихає та завдяки похилій поверхні – пандусу на всю сцену, має постійний рух. Костюми виникають із простору, в силуети інтегровані перекотиполе, на яких в повітрі конденсується волога, яку персонажі збирають для виживання.
Важливість фундаментального усвідомлення власної ідентичності, глибокого коріння західноукраїнських предків дає поштовх до пластичної драматургії, мета якої створити етнічний світ, який оживить глибину духу народу, зруйнує пласт багатолітнього спрощення та заборон, наштовхне на думки молодше покоління про сенси класики в театральних постановках.
Love and respect for one's culture prompts one to work with Ukrainian classics, explore one's roots, develop a new aesthetic, discover meanings hidden in simple dialogues, remember what I saw and felt in childhood.
My starting point in shaping the stage space was the feeling of drought, dryness, thirst. How it feels now in the villages, at a time of rapid urbanization and socio-cultural transformations. The lack of vital resources affects the existence of the characters and their behavior, existence, and actions. Thoughts have taken form in light and fragile natural textures, such as dry weeds, bushes, tumbleweeds, which are pests, an invasive species, but at the same time in this world they are what gives life, condensing moisture on their thin branches like needles on cacti in the desert. The space is alive, breathing and, thanks to the sloping surface - a ramp in the size of entire stage, has constant movement. The costumes are born from space, and the tumbleweeds are integrated into the silhouettes, on which moisture condenses in the air, which the characters collect for survival.
The importance of fundamental awareness of one's own identity, the deep roots of Western Ukrainian ancestors gives way to plastic drama, the purpose of which is to create an ethnic world that will revive the spiritual depth of the people, destroy the layers of many years of simplification and prohibitions, and prompt the younger generation to think about the meanings of classics in theatrical productions.
