У межах статті вперше досліджується походження анатомічних рисунків для посібника «Анатомічні записки для тих, хто навчається живопису та скульптури в Імператорській академії мистецтв» І.В. Буяльського. Проблематика, розкрита у межах статті, стосується невирішених раніше питань атрибуції рисунків, які приписують авторству художника В.К. Шебуєва. У статті також дано фахову оцінку вказаному посібникові, його значення для методичного забезпечення
освітнього процесу в Імператорській академії мистецтв.
The article examines for the first time the origin of anatomical drawings created for the manual
“Anatomical notes for those who study painting and sculpture at the Imperial Academy of Arts” by
I.V. Buyalsky. The problematics disclosed in this article relate to the previously unresolved issues of
attribution of these drawings. For the first time in Ukrainian art history, the author investigated the origin
of these drawings, raised the issue of their authorship and hypothesized their attribution. The article also
provides a professional assessment of the importance of this manual for the methodological support of the
educational process at the Imperial Academy of Arts. As part of the dissertation research, based on the
study of methods of teaching anatomy at the Imperial Academy of Arts, for the first time the problematics
of anatomical drawings by V.K. Shebuyev created for “Anatomical notes for those who study painting and
sculpture at the Imperial Academy of Arts” by I.V. Buyalsky was examined. A number of issues remain
relevant, such as dating of drawings, mass or original nature, establishment of authorship, which are not
covered in the practical aspect in scientific publications and require in-depth analysis. This article analyzes
new data on the genealogy of the origin of anatomical drawings to the “Anatomical notes for those who
study painting and sculpture at the Imperial Academy of Arts” by I.V. Buyalsky. The issue of authorship of
these drawings, which were previously attributed to Vasily Kuzmich Shebuyev, was raised, and its solution
was proposed. This study was carried out within the dissertation research “Plastic anatomy in the system of
European academic education”.
