Abstract:
"Щоб художник став художником, він має пережити біль" - основна думка, на якій
хочеться наголосити, говорячи про даний твір.
Для мене ця п'єса є уособленням простору постійного жаху і болю, що я і намагаюсь
втілити в своїй сценографії.
Задумка така. Декорація, у вигляді дірявої напівпрозорої стіни, та точнісінько таких
умовних кулісок, розташована та закріплена на крузі, котрий обертається під час розвитку
дії. Крізь ті дірки, з усіх боків, просочується зло, од якого намагаються сховатися, чи якось
ізолюватися, головні герої. Для цього вони використовують подушки, затискаючи ними
отвори у стінах. Одна сторона, де куліси, то простір Михаля, одного з братів що
підозрюються у вбивстві дітей. А саме, умовна дитяча кімната, де колись його катували
власні батьки. Друга сторона - поліцейський відділок, де ведуть допит над другим братом
Катуряном слідчі Аріель і Тупольський.
Костюми братів виконанні з наслоєнної тканини, щоб нагадувати купки подушок. Бо вони
також являються елементом стримування цього жаху, і можуть собою затикати дірки, або
ховатися в подушках поміж куліс.
Поліцмени, для мене, є частково і карою за "криваві казочки", і самими казочками.
Можливо вони взагалі лише вигадка протягом всієї вистави, і існують виключно в голові
Катуряна. Тож їх костюми включають в себе клаптики паперу. Наче видрані сторінки з
оповідок героя.

highlight when talking about this work.
For me, this play is a perfect personification of the space of constant horror and pain, which I try
to embody in my scenography.
The idea is this. The scenery, in the form of a holey translucent wall, and the same conventional
drawstrings, is located and fixed on a circle that rotates as the action progresses. Through those
holes the evil seeps from all sides, from which the main characters try to hide or somehow
isolate themselves, squeezing them with pillows. One side, where the scenes are, is the space of
Michal, one of the brothers suspected of murdering children. Namely, a conditional children's
room, where he was once tortured by his own parents. The other side is the police station, where
investigators Ariel and Tupolsky are interrogating the second brother Katuryan.
The brothers' costumes are made of layered fabric to resemble piles of pillows. Because they are
also an element of containment of this horror, and can plug holes themselves or hide in a pile of
pillows between the scenes.
Policemen, for me, are partly a punishment for "bloody fairy tales" and the fairy tales
themselves. Perhaps they are just a fiction throughout the entire play and exist only in Katuryan's
head. So their costumes include scraps of paper. It's like torn out pages from the hero's stories.
