Історико-культурні аспекти розвитку символізму в живописі України на межі ХІХ–ХХ ст.

Abstract

Мета статті – визначити основні аспекти розвитку символізму в українському живописі на межі ХІХ–ХХ століть та дослідити мистецьку спадщину українських символістів цього періоду, зокрема М. Сапожникова, Ю. Михайлова, В. Цимбала та О. Новаківського, а також провести стилістичний аналіз їхніх робіт. Методи дослідження. В основу дослідження покладено аналіз формування символізму як мистецького руху в Європі та Україні. Проведено художньо-стилістичний і порівняльний аналіз творів мистецтва художників, висвітлених у статті. Результати дослідження. Авторами визначено історико-культурні аспекти розвитку символізму в Україні на межі ХІХ–ХХ століть. Висновки. У статті зазначено головні історико-культурні аспекти, що впливали на розвиток символізму в українському живописі цього періоду. Також визначено головну тематику та особливості естетичної мови символізму на прикладі творчості представлених митців. The purpose of this article is to determine the main aspects of the development of symbolism in Ukrainian painting at the turn of the 19th – 20th centuries, to study the artistic heritage of Ukrainian symbolists of the specified period – M. Sapozhnikov, Y. Mykhailov, V. Tsymbal, O. Novakivskyi, and to carry out a stylistic analysis of their works. Research methods. The basis of the study is the analysis of the formation of symbolism as an artistic movement in Europe and Ukraine. An artistic and stylistic and comparative analysis of the works of art of the artists highlighted in the article was conducted. Research results. The authors have determined the historical and cultural aspects of the development of symbolism in Ukraine at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Conclusions. In the article, the authors identified the main historical and cultural aspects that influenced the development of symbolism in Ukrainian painting of the specified period. The main theme and features of the aesthetic language of the art of symbolism of Ukrainian painting are also indicated, using the example of the work of the mentioned artists.
